codegraph parses a codebase with Tree-sitter across more than 20 languages and builds a graph of symbols and their relationships. Parsing is incremental, so updates after code changes stay quick. The tool runs locally and starts with npx.
An MCP server exposes the graph to agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, opencode, Gemini and Kiro, so they can find code with fewer calls. Impact analysis traces callers, callees and everything affected by a symbol before you change it.
Strengths
- Runs locally on your own code
- Incremental Tree-sitter parsing for more than 20 languages
- MCP server works with many AI coding agents
- Caller, callee and impact analysis
Limitations
- Mainly useful together with an AI coding agent
