About Cromite
Cromite continues the work of Bromite, which stopped being maintained. It is Chromium with Google's web service integration stripped out and an ad blocker compiled in, aimed first at Android where Chromium forks with real blocking are thin on the ground.
The project is honest about its limits: the maintainer states plainly that its anti-fingerprinting work is not comprehensive and that journalists or people in countries with restricted freedoms should use Tor Browser instead. Treat it as a better everyday Android browser, not as an anonymity tool.
