About Default Folder X
Default Folder X extends the Open and Save dialogs in every Mac application. Hierarchical menus let you navigate folders by hovering, typing a few characters finds a file or folder, and clicking an open Finder window jumps the dialog to that folder. It also enlarges the small filename field in Save As dialogs.
In the Finder it adds a customizable menu of recent and favorite items, a drawer below windows for holding items, tracking of recently used files and folders, and reopening of recently closed Finder windows. It is updated for the current macOS release.
