About F3D
F3D opens 3D files quickly for viewing and inspection, with realistic lighting and materials for previews. It plays animations with GPU-accelerated skinning, renders CAD designs, displays Gaussian splatting scans, and handles volume rendering for data such as medical scans and scientific simulations.
Originally created by Kitware, it builds on VTK, OCCT, Assimp, OpenUSD and other open-source libraries. It is available as a download and as a web viewer.
