About GE-Proton
GE-Proton is a community build of Valve's Proton, the Wine-based compatibility tool that lets Steam Play run Windows games on Linux. GloriousEggroll maintains it as a fork of Valve's Proton repository and adds extra components and patches.
It is installed as a custom compatibility tool in Steam and selected per game. This makes it useful for titles that do not run well under the official Proton release. Tools such as ProtonUp-Qt can install and update it.
