Guitar Pro is a tablature editor for guitar, bass and other fretted instruments. It also covers drums and piano. An audio engine plays back what you write, so you can hear a part while you notate it.

The current desktop version, Guitar Pro 8, runs on Windows and macOS, and there are separate mobile apps for iOS and Android. The same company runs mySongBook, a catalog of tabs, and a set of guitar lessons. It suits guitarists who write, arrange or study music in tab form.
