About Marble

Marble works like a globe on your desktop. You can pan around the world and measure distances. At closer zoom it becomes a world atlas, and OpenStreetMap data takes it down to street level. You can search for places of interest, read the related Wikipedia articles and build routes by dragging points on the map.

Desktop builds are available for Linux, Mac and Windows. On Android, Marble Maps offers OpenStreetMap maps and the Behaim Globe app shows a digital copy of a globe from Columbus' time. The Marble library underneath is also used by other projects, such as digiKam, and Marble can be extended with plugins.
