About MaxKB
MaxKB (Max Knowledge Brain) is an open-source platform for building AI agents and question-answering systems on top of your own documents. It uses large language models together with retrieval-augmented generation, so answers draw on a knowledge base you load into it.
It is run as a self-hosted server with a web interface and is maintained by the team behind the 1Panel server panel. The project is active, with thousands of commits, and documentation is available in English and Chinese.
