About Microsoft Visio
Visio is Microsoft's tool for building diagrams from templates, starter diagrams and stencils. It covers flowcharts, mind maps, organization charts, floor plans, network diagrams, UML diagrams and BPMN process maps, and can turn data into visuals.
It comes as a desktop application and as Visio for the web, sold through Visio Plan 1 and Plan 2 subscriptions or as standalone Visio Standard 2024 and Professional 2024 licenses. A basic version is included with Microsoft 365, and diagrams can be shared in Microsoft Teams. A separate Visio Viewer opens diagrams without editing.
