About Pinta
Pinta is a GTK rebuild of Paint.NET 3.0, aimed at the jobs between Microsoft Paint and GIMP: crop, resize, draw, add text, apply an effect, layer two images. It keeps unlimited undo, a history pane and live effect previews, and the tool palette is small enough to learn in an afternoon.
Its reason to exist is portability. Paint.NET is Windows only; Pinta runs on Linux, macOS, Windows and BSD from the same codebase, and it is MIT licensed.
