About rbenv-vars
rbenv-vars reads variables from a global file and from .rbenv-vars files in the current directory and its parents. It applies them before spawning Ruby processes, with project settings taking precedence over parent and global values.
Values can use variable substitution, and conditional assignments set a value only when the variable is empty. Command substitution is not allowed.
