About SageMath
SageMath combines many existing open-source mathematics packages, including NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, SymPy, Maxima, GAP, FLINT and R, behind a common Python-based language. Its stated mission is to be a viable free alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica and Matlab, covering algebra, calculus, number theory, graphics and more.
Binaries are available for macOS and for Linux and macOS through conda-forge; on Windows it runs under the Windows Subsystem for Linux. It can also be tried online through CoCalc or SageCell, and extensive tutorials and a reference manual are published.
