About SimplyTranslate

SimplyTranslate is a self-hostable web front end for multiple translation websites. You type text into its own simple interface and it fetches the translation from the chosen engine, so your browser never talks to those services directly.

It is written in Go and ships with Docker Compose files, including a setup that listens on a UNIX socket. A public instance runs at simplytranslate.org. The project is actively maintained, though some Google engine features such as definitions and pronunciation are temporarily disabled.
