About Text Blaze

Text Blaze saves pieces of text as snippets and gives each one a shortcut. When you type the shortcut, the full text is inserted, which cuts down on repeated typing of replies, forms and standard messages.

Snippets can be built into templates with customisable fields and automation, so one shortcut can produce text that changes to fit the situation. It runs as a Chrome extension or as a desktop app on macOS and Windows, and snippets are managed from a web dashboard.

Strengths

  • Works as a Chrome extension and as a macOS or Windows app
  • Templates with customisable fields, not just fixed text
  • Snippets are managed from one web dashboard

Limitations

  • The browser extension is built for Chrome
  • Closed source
  • The research does not detail which features are free
