About Vital
Vital is a wavetable synthesizer built around spectral oscillator warping, which changes a waveform's harmonics to produce very different shapes and timbres from a simple source. You can turn your own samples into wavetables with its pitch-splice or vocode converter, build wavetables from scratch in the built-in editor, or generate them from text.
The interface shows filter responses, waveforms, LFOs, oscilloscopes and spectrograms as animations drawn on the GPU. Modulation works by drag and drop with a preview before you commit, and sources include custom LFO shapes, envelopes, Perlin noise, velocity, aftertouch and MPE.
