About Whishper
Whishper transcribes audio and video on your own machine through a web interface. You can upload files or give it URLs supported by yt-dlp, then download results as TXT, JSON, VTT or SRT. Translation uses LibreTranslate, and a built-in subtitle editor highlights text as media plays, warns about reading speed and lets you split or insert segments.
It uses FasterWhisper and runs on CPU or NVIDIA GPU. The current branch no longer gets releases while the developer works on a rewrite.
