About Xpdf
Xpdf is a free PDF viewer and toolkit from Glyph & Cog. XpdfReader is the graphical viewer, built on the company's XpdfWidget/Qt component.
The toolkit is separate and includes command-line utilities such as a text extractor, an image converter and an HTML converter, which are handy in scripts and batch jobs. Most of the tools are available as open source and are offered as a separate download from the viewer.
