About BetterZip
BetterZip opens and extracts more than 30 archive formats and creates ZIP, DMG, TAR, 7-Zip, Zstandard, Brotli, ISO and other archives, with RAR through the external command-line tool. Archives can be modified in place, and Mac-specific files can be stripped so archives look clean on Windows.
Version 6 adds icon and column views and a full-screen viewer for image and comic archives. It supports AES-256 encryption with a password manager, joins split files, decodes winmail.dat and works with Quick Look, Spotlight and Shortcuts.
