About Caja
Caja is the default file manager of the MATE desktop environment. It gives MATE users a graphical way to browse folders, open, copy and move files, and it has an extension interface (libcaja-extension) so other programs can add features to it.
It fits people running MATE, or anyone who wants a traditional, straightforward graphical file manager on a Linux desktop. It is developed in the open by the MATE project on GitHub.
