About CodeLite

CodeLite is an integrated development environment specialized in C and C++ with Clang and GCC, Rust, Python, PHP and JavaScript. The JavaScript support is aimed mainly at backend developers using Node.js, and the IDE can develop, debug and run Node.js applications.

It runs on Windows 10 and 11, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD. There is a Windows installer, repositories for Ubuntu and Debian, RPMs for Fedora and openSUSE, and a Homebrew install on macOS. It is licensed under GPLv2 with an exception that lets third-party plugins stay closed source.
