About Cover Your Tracks
Cover Your Tracks runs a test in your browser and shows how trackers see it, with an overview of the characteristics that make your browser unique and identifiable. An option runs the test against a real tracking company.
It is a project of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and a guide on the site explains how fingerprinting works. The site says only anonymous data is collected. It suits anyone checking whether a browser, extension or privacy setting actually reduces tracking.
