About ejabberd
ejabberd is a messaging server you run on your own hardware. It serves XMPP chat with extensions such as multi-user chat, message archives, push, PubSub and OMEMO, and also acts as an MQTT broker and SIP service.
It is built in Erlang by ProcessOne, has been released continuously since 2002 and is configured through a YAML file. It installs from installers, Linux packages, containers or Homebrew, and suits admins who need a scalable server for many users.
