About Converse
Converse is a client-side XMPP chat app that runs entirely in the browser and works with any XMPP server. It can be used as a full-page app, an overlay chat, or a widget embedded in an existing website. It supports group chats, file sharing through HTTP File Upload, message archiving, desktop notifications, and OMEMO end-to-end encryption.
You can try the hosted app, run your own instance, or download Converse Desktop. A plugin architecture allows extensions, and the interface is translated into more than 40 languages.
