About Enlightenment
Enlightenment combines a window manager, a compositor and a minimal desktop shell. It runs on Linux as its main platform, as well as BSD and compatible UNIX systems. X11 is the primary target, with experimental Wayland support.
It is built on the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries (EFL), which the project also uses for companion applications such as the Terminology terminal, the Rage video player and the Ephoto photo viewer. Releases are distributed as source code, and many distributions package it.
