About Exaile
Exaile is a music player built with GTK that combines a simple interface with library management. It offers smart playlists, advanced track tagging, automatic album art, lyrics, streaming radio and podcasts, plus support for a secondary output device, which is handy for previewing tracks on headphones.
More than 50 plugins extend it further. Releases are distributed as source code and a Windows installer, and the 4.2 series has seen several releases between October 2025 and March 2026.
