About FreeSWITCH
FreeSWITCH is a software telecom stack that replaces proprietary telephone switches. It runs on anything from a Raspberry Pi to a multi-core server and can be built from source for Linux, Windows, macOS and BSD. It handles voice, video and chat and is used to build PBX systems, call routing and other telephony services.
The project is sponsored by SignalWire, founded by FreeSWITCH's original developers, and includes mod_signalwire for connecting to SignalWire's hosted SIP and SMS services. Commercially supported builds are available on request. It suits administrators and developers building their own telephony.
