About iNaturalist
iNaturalist lets you record observations of plants, animals, fungi and other organisms, get help identifying them, and share them with other naturalists and researchers. You can track the species you have seen, discover what lives nearby, and add to a shared atlas of life that scientists use.
It is free and run by a nonprofit. It works on the web and through apps for Android and iOS, and the source of the web platform is published on GitHub.
