About Kdenlive
Kdenlive is a non-linear video editor maintained by the KDE community. It handles ingest, organisation, editing, audio and export in one window: bins with tags and filters for footage, a flexible timeline with multicam and three-point editing, nested sequences, markers and automatic backups.
Proxy clips let a modest machine edit high bitrate footage smoothly, and the audio side includes mixers and voiceover recording. Builds are published for Windows, macOS and Linux, including an AppImage that runs on most distributions without installation.
