About LanScan
LanScan scans the local network from a Mac and lists every active device it finds, with its IP address, MAC address and the hardware vendor tied to that MAC. It detects the available interfaces on its own, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet and virtual interfaces.
To name devices, it resolves hostnames through mDNS for Apple devices, SMB for Windows machines and DNS for business networks, and lets you edit hostnames yourself. The free version limits how many hostnames are shown; a Pro version for $5.99 removes that limit.
