About netdiscover
netdiscover discovers the addresses in use on a local network by sending and listening for ARP packets. It was written mainly for wireless networks without a DHCP server, where you need to find which addresses are in use, and it also works on hub and switched networks.
It is a command-line program that suits network administrators and security testers mapping a LAN. A script in the repository updates its database of hardware vendor prefixes.
