About Motrix
Motrix wraps the aria2 engine in a desktop interface. It downloads over HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, BitTorrent and magnet links, splits a file across up to ten connections for speed, and keeps everything in one queue with a dark mode and a tray icon.
Version 1 has not had a release since 2023. A rebuilt version 2, called Motrix Turbo, is in public beta with a separate download core, a headless server mode for a NAS, and an open protocol for browser extensions. The team warns that migration from version 1 data has not been validated yet.
