About Mullvad Browser
Mullvad Browser is made jointly by Mullvad VPN and the Tor Project. It is Tor Browser with the Tor network taken out: the same anti-fingerprinting work, the same private-by-default settings, the same idea that every user should look identical to a tracking script, but the traffic goes out through whatever connection you are on.
The point is that a VPN hides your address while the browser hides everything else. It does not require a Mullvad subscription and works with any VPN or none, though without one your address is visible as usual. Expect the same friction Tor Browser has: some sites break, and logging in everywhere defeats the purpose.
