About Parabolic

yt-dlp is a command-line tool and most people would rather not use one. Parabolic wraps it in a proper desktop application: paste a URL, choose a format, and it downloads, with support for the hundreds of sites yt-dlp handles.

It downloads in MP4, WebM, MP3, Opus, FLAC and WAV, runs multiple downloads at the same time, and can fetch metadata and video subtitles alongside the media. There are GNOME and Windows interfaces, and builds for Linux, Windows and macOS.

The project includes a clear legal note: videos on YouTube and other sites may be subject to DMCA protection, and the authors do not endorse and are not responsible for use that violates those laws.
