About SALOME
SALOME is a platform for preparing and analysing numerical simulations. It creates parametric shapes, meshes them for a solver, visualizes the results and interpolates fields between different meshes. It is developed by CEA, EDF and OPEN CASCADE and serves as the base for several domain-specific simulation applications.
Releases are regular: version 9.16.0 came out in July 2026 after 9.15.0 in September 2025. Documentation and a forum are available. It suits engineers and researchers who need pre- and post-processing around their own simulation codes.
