About Sygnal
Sygnal is the reference implementation of the Matrix Push Gateway API. A Matrix homeserver sends notification events to Sygnal, which forwards them to Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) so mobile Matrix clients can wake up and show new messages.
It is written in Python and ships with a sample YAML configuration, Docker files and a Grafana dashboard in the repository. It suits people who build or distribute their own Matrix mobile client and need their own push gateway.
