About uMap
uMap lets you build custom interactive maps on top of OpenStreetMap background layers through a graphical interface, without writing code, and embed them on your own website. Users note it can be used without an account and supports collaborative work.
Public instances are run by OpenStreetMap Germany, Switzerland and France, and the project publishes a Docker image for running your own server. It is maintained by a community of more than 60 contributors, with release 3.4.2 in November 2025.
