About Amberol
Amberol is a deliberately small music player for the GNOME desktop. It plays music already on your computer and does not try to manage a library or connect to streaming services.
Features include an adaptive interface, recoloring of the interface from the album art, drag and drop to queue songs, shuffle and repeat, and MPRIS integration so desktop media controls work. It is installed from Flathub; the latest version, 2026.1, was released in April 2026.
