About GanttProject
GanttProject is a desktop project planner built around the Gantt chart. It covers task scheduling, timeline views and resource allocation. It runs offline on Windows, macOS and Linux, and project data stays on your own computer. A separate cloud service is also offered.
The app reads MPX, MPP and XML/MSPDI files from Microsoft Project and exports to XML/MSPDI, so you can swap plans with Project users. It does not try to copy every enterprise feature of Microsoft Project. It suits small businesses, construction and engineering projects, and teaching.
