About GNOME Files
Files, also known as Nautilus, is the file manager that ships with the GNOME desktop. It covers the usual tasks: browsing, searching and organizing files and folders, both locally and on network locations, and reading and writing removable media.
It offers icon grid, icon list and tree list views, can run scripts and launch apps, and can be extended with plugins and scripts. It is available from Flathub and is actively maintained, with version 51.0.1 released in September 2026.
