About KGet
KGet is the download manager from the KDE project. It downloads files over HTTP(S) and FTP, can pause, resume and restart transfers, and shows detailed information about current and pending downloads. It sits in the system tray and integrates with the Konqueror web browser.
Metalink support lets it use files that list several mirror URLs together with checksums. KGet ships with KDE Gear on the regular release schedule, most recently 26.08.1 in September 2026, and is available from Flathub and Linux distribution repositories.
