About LibreOffice
LibreOffice is six applications in one suite. Writer handles documents from a note to a book, Calc is a full spreadsheet, Impress makes presentations, and Draw, Base and Math cover diagrams, databases and equations. It reads and writes Microsoft Office formats as well as its own OpenDocument standard.
It comes from The Document Foundation and is developed in the open by a large community. Two release lines are published: a conservative one for organisations and a newer one with the latest features.
