About ngspice
ngspice simulates electric and electronic circuits containing transistors, passive components, diodes, transmission lines and more. Digital circuits are simulated event-driven, and analog and digital parts can be combined as mixed-signal circuits. It is SPICE compatible and can use PSPICE and LTSPICE device models as well as manufacturer and foundry models.
There is no schematic editor: you supply a netlist through the command line or a file, and results come out as graphs or data files. Third-party interfaces provide schematic entry.
