About Paisa
Paisa builds on the ledger double-entry accounting tool and adds a graphical interface for expense categorization, budgeting, investment tracking and tax analysis. It can fetch the latest market prices for mutual funds and stocks and handles multiple currencies.
The journal and configuration are stored as plain text files that can be version controlled or shared with others, and financial data never leaves your system. It suits people comfortable with plain-text accounting who want reports and charts on top of their ledger files.
