PowerDNS Recursor is the recursive, caching DNS resolver in the PowerDNS family. It lives in the same repository as PowerDNS Authoritative and the dnsdist load balancer, a codebase with more than 36,000 commits and dedicated regression tests for DNSSEC validation.
It is aimed at administrators who run their own resolver for a home lab, an organisation or a service provider and want to control how names are resolved and filtered.
