About XLD
X Lossless Decoder (XLD) decodes, converts and plays lossless audio on the Mac. It reads FLAC, Monkey's Audio, WavPack, TTA, Apple Lossless, Shorten, AIFF and WAV, plus TAK through Wine. It decodes through libraries, so no intermediate files are created. Any supported file can be split into tracks with a cue sheet, including embedded cue sheets.
Output formats include WAVE, AIFF, FLAC, Apple Lossless, MP3 via LAME, AAC, HE-AAC, Ogg Vorbis, WavPack and Opus. XLD also works as a CD ripper. It is a Universal Binary for PowerPC, Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
