About Yakuake
Yakuake is a Quake-style terminal. It slides down from the top of the screen when you press a hotkey and slides away again when you are done, so a shell is always one keystroke away without taking up a window.
It is built on KDE's Konsole technology and has tabs, configurable size and animation speed, skins and a D-Bus interface for scripting. It ships with KDE Gear on a regular release schedule and can be installed from Flathub or a distribution's package manager.
