About Psi

Psi is an instant messaging client for the XMPP (Jabber) network that runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and Haiku. Its interface is highly customizable, with multi-window and all-in-one modes, iconsets and themes. It supports file sharing and audio and video calls, and offers client-to-client encryption through OpenPGP, OTR and OMEMO plugins.

Builds come in a basic plain-text version and WebKit or WebEngine versions that add image and video previews, animated emoticons and Adium themes. The last tagged release is 1.5 from 2020, though the repository is still actively updated.
