About DiskSpd
DiskSpd is a storage performance test tool from Microsoft's Windows, Windows Server and Cloud Server Infrastructure Engineering teams. It generates configurable read and write workloads against a disk or file so you can measure throughput and latency under controlled conditions.
Tests can be defined from the command line or from XML profiles, and results can be produced as XML for further processing. The repository also includes a PowerShell helper script and the VMFleet framework for testing storage across many virtual machines. It suits administrators and engineers testing storage systems.
