About Libredesk

Libredesk is an omnichannel help desk you run on your own server. Support agents work through a shared interface to answer customer conversations, as a lighter alternative to Intercom, Zendesk or Chatwoot.

It is written in Go with a separate web frontend, is distributed as one binary, and includes a Docker Compose file and a sample configuration for getting started. Translations are included, and the project has a public roadmap.

Strengths

  • Single binary keeps deployment simple
  • Docker Compose setup included
  • Self-hosted, so support data stays on your server

Limitations

  • You run and maintain the server yourself
  • Younger project than established help desks
